MPHS OfficeMcLaren Park Henderson South Community Initiative (MPHS) a not-for-profit organisation.

Vision

To be the local community organisation that develops and supports local community through research, facilitation, advocating and community provision.

Mission

People Pride Place. Your local community group developing, supporting and providing projects that will bring long-term benefit to our whole community.

Values MPHS values the local area and aims to participate and work to add value to the local community. MPHS values the local people from the young to the elderly, pride in self and community, pride in the area, the environment and care of place.

From humble beginnings MPHS started with a small office space at the Bruce McLaren Intermediate School and had 2 employed staff members. The Young Believers Youth Group was the first project to start and continue to be developed within the organisation. In October 2007 MPHS moved across the road to be nestled in with the local shops at 64d Bruce McLaren Rd. There are currently 5 members on staff, who coordinate and manage different projects.

MPHS seeks to provide services that residents who live in the McLaren Park and Henderson South area's can easily access. There are over 5000 residential properties within this area, which MPHS reaches through our Monthly News Letter. (This PDF file is 706 KB and requires free acrobat reader to read it). Henderson South Primary School, Bruce McLaren Intermediate School and Henderson High School are three of the local schools that are situated within the MPHS zone.
